Please note that MitrendS is only available to patients with MS who are already enrolled in the observational study PROMED-MS (BASEC-Nr: 2019-01402) of the Neurology Clinic of the University Hospital of Zurich.

The aim of this study is to develop new methods for recording important symptoms of MS. The regular performance of exercises both at the hospital and at home offers the possibility of recording fluctuations in the course of the disease. In the future, better control of therapy effectiveness will be achieved on the basis of individual measurement results.
MitrendS offers two exercises to test hand function and one to test cognitive capabilities. In addition, to record users personal well-being, standard questionnaires are also integrated. Exercises and questionnaires are available to study participant according to a predefined schedule.
Because MitrendS is used as part of a clinical study, in order to access and use the app users must first provide oral and written consent at the Department of Neuroimmunology and MS Research (nims) of the University Hospital Zurich.
Upon consenting, patients are provided with a personal QR-Code. By scanning the QR-Code via MitrendS, users are able to activate their MIDATA account and link the app to the provided study consent.
Please note that MitrendS app is not functional until a valid QR-code is provided. QR-Codes are personal and can only be used once, in presence of specialized personnel.
